Hollywood stars keep getting on with the #quarantinepet trend! The latest A-lister to join the fad is The Wolf of Wall Street actor Jonah Hill when he recently adopted a shelter dog.
The 37-year-old actor and new dog dad shared the news via Instagram, where he posted a photo of him with his four-legged friend. Hill’s latest pet is a three-year-old pitbull called Fig, which the actor was able to adopt from Los Angeles’ Love Leo Rescue. He thanked the shelter through his social media account for giving him what he considered a ‘massive gift.’ He added by saying that he appreciated the work that they and their foster parent volunteers do.
In response to the actor’s touching post, Love Leo Rescue also uploaded a photo of Hill cuddling his new puppy through their account. They also took that opportunity to share the dog’s backstory. Fig was rescued last December at a rural California shelter and had since been looking for a permanent home while staying with his foster family.
Their Instagram caption also happily says that Fig is home, then they proceed to thank Jonah Hill for opting to #adoptnotshop. Love Leo Rescue also encouraged everyone to do the same since ‘all the cool kids are doing it.’ They are also glad that Fig landed into the arms of the Hollywood actor—it was clearly meant to be.
And judging by the huge smiles and positive energy surrounding them, Fig has definitely landed into the arms of the perfect human being that would take care of her forever!
Currently, the actor is busy working on an Adam McKay project entitled ‘Don’t Look Up’ for Netflix. He will star alongside a list of Tinsel Town’s who’s who, such as Leonardo DiCaprio, Ariana Grande, Meryl Streep, Jennifer Lawrence, and Timothée Chalamet.
Here’s to wishing Hill would still have plenty of time to take care of his darling Fig despite his insanely busy schedule!
