Jimmy Donaldson, a YouTuber commonly known as MrBeast, is popular for spending his money to help other people. However, in one of his videos on YouTube, he tried something new. He decided to spend his YouTube earnings to help the pups in Furkids Shelter, an animal shelter in Georgia, get adopted.
MrBeast did the best he could to help the shelter dogs find loving homes within two days. Not only did he help the dogs, but he also gave presents to the families who adopted the shelter dogs.
During the adoption event, MrBeast, along with his friends, wanted to be anonymous. This was because they wanted adopters who were truly interested in adopting the dogs, not just fame or money. Moreover, the shelter would need to approve every adopter as usual.
To promote the shelter dogs, MrBeast bought several billboards and even a truck to advertise them. He also posted fliers in several places within the area. Then, together with his friends, he waited in a secret room in the shelter and waited to see if potential adopters would come for the dogs.
The founder of Furkids, Samantha Shelton, said that the goals of Furkids and MrBeast are aligned. MrBeast made it his mission to make the world better, and this was also Furkids’ goal for cats and dogs. She said that their shelter was truly honored to work with MrBeast and his friends.
The event had a slow start. However, the dogs did get adopted one by one. MrBeast even bought more billboards every time the number of adoptions slowed down. Thanks to him, all 14 dogs of the shelter got adopted in a span of two days.
It was only after the adoption applications were approved did MrBeast meet the adopters. His team gave each adopting family a thank-you gift. Some adopters were rewarded a ten-year supply of dog food, while the others received $10,000 gift cards to be used in pet supply stores.
MrBeast himself adopted the last shelter dog named Pinky. Thanks to his generosity, the shelter dogs are now living with their new families and being cared for and loved. MrBeast reminded everyone that there are more dogs needing families. Hopefully, his deed would inspire everyone to help or adopt shelter dogs.
