One dog in Thailand was given a chance to live the best life a dog could ever wish for despite her disability.
Maya, a Siberian Husky, looks like your regular dog, but actually, she is a special dog with an extraordinary love for life. She has congenital birth defects. She was born without paws and has developmental issues around her hips. Sadly, her birth defects limit her physical mobility; she can’t stand on her own for a minute. It can be said that Maya is destined to live a life relying on a wheelchair.
Despite being a dog with special needs, Kit saw something special in Maya. She found the sweet dog on the shelter’s Facebook page. Without thinking twice, Kit brought Maya home, knowing all the responsibilities and challenges of taking care of a special needs dog. Kit strongly believed in her heart that they were meant for each other.
Maya continued to grow to be a happy and fun-loving dog. Kit regarded her as a princess on wheels. She liked going around in a wheelchair without any issues. At home, Maya had a dog sibling named Mamon. Mamon and Maya would play for hours tirelessly. Their relationship with each other was superb and priceless.
Kit shares Maya and Mamon’s photos on Instagram. The two dogs are fond of each other as they always do things together. They love dressing up and walking in nearby parks. Maya and Mon love posing for the camera!
If not for Kit, Maya would not be given a chance to live a wonderful life outside the shelter. Maya could’ve faced euthanasia if no adopter had stepped in to take care of her. In return, Maya provides Kit with unconditional love, loyalty, and lots of kisses and cuddles.
Continue to inspire people and fellow dogs, Maya! You’re one great dog!
