It’s quite hard to imagine how some people are capable of mistreating animals. As dog lovers, we always feel the need to hug every dog we meet and showering them with love and affection. It’s quite unfortunate that there are still countless dogs out there that are suffering and living in horrible conditions.
In Georgia, an organization called Releash Atlanta was able to rescue around 700 dogs from a puppy mill. One of the dogs rescued is a poodle named Jordan. Jordan lived in a cramped cage his entire life that he didn’t even know how to be a dog.
After Jordan was rescued, he was taken to a foster home to help him recover from his traumatic past. Of course, Jordan’s foster mom wanted Jordan to be comfortable in his new home and she set up a cozy bed for Jordan to sleep in. However, Jordan’s foster mom soon discovered that Jordan didn’t even know how to sleep laying down.
Jordan was so used to sleeping in a cramped cage that all he knows is to sleep standing up. Thankfully, Jordan started adjusting to his new environment and he slowly learned that there’s more to life than living inside a cage. Jordan experienced a lot of firsts in his life, such as playing with other dogs, running on grass, and cuddling on the couch.
Despite his horrible past, Jordan is eager to learn how to be happy. It didn’t take long for Jordan to be finally ready for a forever home. Eventually, Jordan was adopted by a loving senior couple.
Although Jordan was a little skittish when he first met his new family, it really didn’t take long for him to adjust. Jordan started doing zoomies in the backyard and played with his new doggie sister, Bella after a few days of getting adopted. Jordan is so lucky to really have such a wonderful family adopting him. Here’s a heartwarming video featuring Jordan’s full story and how he learned what real family is all about.
