Dog videos that we see online will make us sigh in awe because of their extreme cuteness and sweet personality.
This cute dog video on Instagram will make us proud and at the same time, learn from his determination and persistence in life.
Ollie is an eight-year-old Golden Retriever who is born without his left front legs. He loves playing in the yard and running around the grassy area.
However, one of the things that Ollie cannot do is climb on the back door. Being a three-legged dog, it is a challenge for Ollie to climb stairs, especially that the missing leg is one of his front legs.
In the video, it could be seen that Ollie was trying to figure out ways on how he can climb on the back door after his playtime in the yard. It could be heard from the background how his fur dad, Alex Widmer, encouraged him to get inside the house. He would put his front paw up the ledge but he would stop in that position.
Despite his failed attempts on getting inside the house, Ollie’s determination wasn’t lost. His family continued to cheer for him and motivated him that he could do it. It also could be seen from the video that he wouldn’t stop wagging his tail as a sign that he would like to conquer the stairs. There were days that he didn’t want to do it, but it didn’t stop him from trying and trying.
After several days of figuring out how to get inside the house, Ollie successfully got inside the house on his own! He ran from the grassy area going to the house and galloped as he reached the stairs!
The video on Instagram garnered more than 173,000 views.
Ollie continued to conquer the world on three legs by visiting his fans all over the United States.
Sadly, after seven months, Ollie suddenly passed away. He accidentally ingested a medicine that was bad for his health. His fur dad was devastated by his sudden demise. He made a tribute video for him to tell the world how amazing Ollie was.
Thank you, Ollie, for your life. Despite having a short life on earth, you have touched a lot of lives. You have taught people that they can live amazing lives despite their disabilities.
