The ‘cone of shame’ – as many of us call it – is a veterinary product that is very beneficial for our dear fur friends. This cone comes in many other names like e-collars, Elizabethan collars, and Buster collars. But no matter what name is used for the cone, it only serves one purpose – to help prevent our pups from licking, biting, or scratching their body, head or neck while their wounds or injuries heal.
Even though this product is used for the benefit of our pets, most fur parents can agree that almost none of our furry friends take much liking to this cone. To our pets, the cone is more of an enemy than a friend. So whenever our pups have healed and the time comes for us to remove the cone of shame from their heads, our pets suddenly feel excited and free. But one pup took his celebration a step further when his fur dad freed him from the cone.
One pup owner, Reddit user Stowaway36, said that after taking the cone of shame off from his pup, the pup made sure to confront the cone with all the anger he kept inside him while wearing it. Stowaway36 related that he placed the cone on the table on their patio, but when he turned around, he didn’t find it there anymore. The next thing he saw was his pup biting and attacking the helpless cone. He said that he wasn’t sure if the pup intentionally reached out for the cone from the table or if the wind blew it to the ground.
Whatever the case, the pup got the sweet revenge he had been waiting for. The pup’s fur dad said that his pup surely has a funny personality. After making sure that the cone is beat, the pup decided that the issue between him and the cone of shame has been settled.
