Carpe Diem, a rescued Chihuahua, lived up to his name when San Francisco Animal Care & Control took his pictures. The four-month-old puppy made interesting poses that made the people behind the camera swoon over him. Volunteers at the shelter rescued him from the busy streets of San Francisco.
The cheerful chihuahua
The volunteers were quick to notice Carpe Diem’s sunny personality. They immediately looked for his forever home by posting an announcement on their website. When no one answered their call, they decided to organize a mini photoshoot with Carpe Diem. They figured, there may be a need to highlight the puppy’s cheerful personality.
Off they went with Carpe Diem’s photoshoot. They clicked away while the puppy posed and showed how quirky he is. The chihuahua made different faces with each click. He was fun to watch during the shoot. Even the staff fell in love with the small dog who had a big personality.
Love from all over the world
When the team was done processing the photos, they uploaded everything online. People from different parts of the world liked and shared Carpe Diem’s photos until it went viral. As a matter of fact, Carpe Diem became such a huge online star that he found his forever home in an instant.
Deb Campbell, a representative from the shelter, said that it’s hard not to fall in love with Carpe Diem. He is a happy dog, and he’s such a joy to be around. His positive energy lights up the room; he can make everyone smile with his bright personality.
As much as the volunteers want to keep Carpe Diem, they knew he’d be better of with his forever family. They were so happy when they learned that a family was ready to welcome Carpe Diem into their home.
