At Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School, they released a unique yearbook with a custom page for adorable furry friends.
Fourteen sweet faces of the therapy dogs at the MSD High School got their photos displayed on the school’s yearbook. These beautiful furry pals have helped students and school staff since they got back from the mass shooting last 2018.
These adorable pooches provide comfort and happiness to the community in MSD. They helped people get back on their feet so it’s fair that they are honored even in just a simple way.
According to Sarah Lerner, the school’s yearbook adviser, the children loved the pup’s presence. They are quite a celebrity whenever they’re around.
The idea of including the dogs on the yearbook came about when someone took a school picture of a resident dog. The media specialist in school owned the pooch.
When Lerner discussed the yearbook to the editor, they agreed on having all the school’s furry friends included in the book. The dogs were all well-behaved during the day of the photo shoot.
The photo shoot turned out great. Seeing the faces of the adorable dogs on the yearbook will definitely put a smile on anyone’s faces.
The students also have nothing to say but positive things about the outcome. They loved seeing their furry pals on the page.
These therapy dogs are trained, and they help take away some stress from the people around them. Their mere presence serves as comfort, and they are never a distraction.
Having these dogs keep people at school, especially the kids, calm and relaxed. They were brought in by some volunteers from different dog organizations. The students needed time for healing, and the dogs helped a lot in making them feel safe and happy.
Salute to these beautiful dogs for their unconditional support for people around them. Thanks to Aerie Yearbook as well for this beautiful feature.
