There are many perks to driving an Uber for work. You get to manage your own time, work when you feel like it, and Netflix and chill when you don’t. Also, you get to meet a lot of interesting people daily.
But there are many drawbacks to this gig, too. For example, you need to sit behind the wheel for hours on end, driving through streets you’ve driven through countless times before. In time, your tummy is sure to bulge, and fat deposits will appear where they have no business showing up.
But the biggest drawback to driving an Uber is probably boredom. After all, most of the time, it’s just you in your car waiting to be booked, and often, clients prefer to keep to themselves no matter how much you attempt to build rapport for the sake of entertaining yourself. Yes, an Uber driver’s life is not as easy as some people make it out to be.
So Driver Ed took matters in his own hands. He enlists a cute puppy to entertain him and his clients. See how that pans out in the video below.
Driver Ed’s sidekick puppy is named Sussana or Suzy for short. He shares a bit about Sussana’s history. She’s Sussana, and she comes from Alabama, with a banjo on her knee.
That’s actually a minstrel song shared by Driver Ed as an attempt to be funny. Yes, we don’t know what Suzy’s background is. We hope she’s got a loving family waiting for her at home.
As expected, Driver Ed’s clients gush over Suzy as soon as they see her. Suzy is more than happy to play with these transient humans. Everybody wins.
After watching the video, we understand why Driver Ed had to get a dog to keep his clients entertained. He can’t possibly do it by himself.
